Today is this years last day of school – my kids are super excited – let me tell you that school is pretty darn cleaned up! Report cards are amazing and the plethora of school work coming home is insane!
I hope to finish cat pillow 3 tonight for Saturdays party. Then I can concentrate on packing. The landlady still isn’t clear in what day the downstairs people are leaving. So moving sometime by Wednesday. I have booked off work Monday & Tuesday so that should help.
I took off the too skinny strip and finished the pillow top. Tonight I hope to do the backs.
Yesterday the praise was heaped on me at work. 🙂 hooray for a good day. Let’s try for another one shall we?!
It seems to me like the day crawled and flew by, in turns. I was hungry before lunch – and so engrossed in work at leaving time I almost wished I didn’t have to rush to make it through traffic to pick up the kids before 6:00pm. (That’s when after school program ends)
I whipped up a crazy restaurant design – and can’t wait to turn it into something usable!
It kinda still looks like crappola – give me time give me time! Tomorrow we get portraits done for the web page :S I am not happy with this thought – meant to get my hair cut (at least) on the weekend but didn’t so it’s gonna be my really growed out blond ends… Oh dear.
Didn’t finish Aly’s last pillow tonight – but I started it!
The last strip of white cat fabric I sewed on is about 3/4 of an inch shorter than I need it to be. Do I pull it off and re-do OR just make the other sides thicker or add leopard to the next layer ?? I feel like framing it out is the best idea. Than all it needs are the back pieces !!!!
Today was a crazy hectic morning – I actually made it to work on time! Booya Grandma! (That’s rare – I’m usually 10-15 late sometimes 30 💩) Our secretary didn’t show up at work today so guess who got the call forward – that’s right me! Cause the designer is supposed to do call forward and transfer calls to Craig – 95% of all calls are for Craig. Why don’t we call forward to Craig? Because Mr. Boss wants me specifically to answer the phone. I honestly think it’s a gender thing. Why? Just meet the strutting chauvinistic pea fowl and you will understand 😉
Anyways I got the work done that I needed to, managed dinner, karate, yelling till hygiene happened , and finished reading Harry Potter & the Philiosophers Stone to Hazel & Helix. Then made pillow – now want sleep!!
Hayden is be the last Harry potter book-we have catching up to do.
Weather here was amazing today! Actually is was a very beautiful I weekend – I have no idea where it went! I don’t even feel like I did anything! Groceries – washed laundry but didn’t fold or put it away, made food…started making pillows!
For fathers Day I made Chris a pillow – my kids didn’t want to make him anything – so I took care of that! He liked it so that’s good!
We went to see Jurassic World – it was awesome! I loved it! Helix cried at the end but not cause he was scared or anything – he just got upset when the bad Dino didn’t have the greatest ending…cool – apparently my kid has empathy and wants good things for even the bad guy – very cool!
Made slow cooker meatloaf – it was awesome – also made chocolate ice cream – also awesome !!!!

Got no packing done though…also didn’t clean the bathroom…also didn’t kill anyone!!

-meanwhile time is apparently playing plague with me! Sick again! And the kind with horrid deibilitating symptoms that you can’t even blog about! While actually you could but it wouldn’t make for good reading – unless of course you are a medical student intent on diagnosing a weird new disease – it’s just the flu btw. I missed work today. I woke up nauseous and too dizzy to drive – spent the majority of the day sleeping.
I have been neglecting my sewing – not for a lack of wanting but we are moving in 2 weeks and shit needs to get done! *try and tell Chris that 😳 he doesn’t even think we should pack 😁. But my nieces birthday is coming up quick and I wanted to make her something cool. I have the sizzix fox die so I thought pillow! So this weekend I did up a practise pillow. I was scared about putting in the lace. Hahaha turns out I didn’t even hve enough and then I sewed it into the seam on the 1 corner so yeah 😜!
So next weekend I do the good copy of this – fingers crossed it comes out!
I made extra foxes with the rest of the die pieces- here’s one:
I used some adhesive stuff that’s heavy duty so we will see how well it holds up. Debating whether it needs hand stitching to keep it adhered and give it that added touch.
I sat at the machine a couple times today for very short periods as I was having a lot of joint pain. I started putting the points on the stars for the star quilt.
Cannot wait to really get into it! I’ve been having tension problems – brought me to tears a couple times this weekend (it’s the flu damnit!) so hoping it’s sorted out now.
A week or so ago I broke up with Chris told him it’s over and GTFO. Came home the next day and he claimed to be a new person and said he was never leaving. Crazy much?! I consulted with a strong independent woman whom I respect, she told me men are ruled by food and sex – true – and I should convince him to move out nicely. So I through out words like adult playground – he is moving out at the end if the month. I would like to say I don’t hate him, but sometimes I do. I don’t think he is human – he treats me like shit – and is an asshole to the kids. Constantly.
I was in the park talking on the phone with a good supportive friend – telling him that I know the universe is telling me I need to change things & has been using hawks as messangers to do it. As I was saying I need to be independant – in the park that has the same name as me – there was a hawk! In the middle of town trying to get a sparrow I think! Confirmation.
So hopefully I’m not in trouble at work – hopefully my move downstairs and his move across town all goes smoothly. Hopefully I can be on here with more quilting updates soon!!!
